Sennen Timcke is a singer-songwriter channelling the raw honesty of ‘70s British and American folk music into his own compelling modern folk-pop sound.
Blending soaring vocals, original melodies and thoughtful lyrics, Sennen takes his audience on a journey. Sometimes intimate and solitary, other times vast and universal - his music reveals our shared humanity and our innate ability to care for one another and the world around us.
Previous festival appearances include Lyme Folk Festival (opening for Martin Carthy) Shambala Festival (Chai Whallahs stage), Green Man Festival (Einstein’s Garden stage) Boardmasters Festival and Bristol Harbourside Festival.
Sennen’s debut album ‘Earthly Delights’ is due for release Summer 2025. Produced by Chris Hyson, (Jordan Rakei, Alison Sudal, The Magic lantern). Mixed by Daniel J Goodwin (This is the Kit/Bonnie Light Horseman).

A little bit about my journey as a musician to date..
Growing up in a single parent family with no access to funds, I taught myself guitar, piano and developed my passion for Songwriting in contemporary Folk.
I have performed at some of the UK’s top Southwest venues and festivals, including opening for Martin Carthy at Lyme Folk Festival, playing the Chai Whallahs stage Shambala, Einsteins Garden Stage (Greenman Festival), and Bristol Harbourside Festival.
My first self-released single 'Distance & Time' was aired on BBC Introducing and described as - ‘Gorgeously Atmospheric’ - BBC Introducing
I was accepted on one of the UK’s only Masters Songwriting courses, The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance London (ICMP), passing with Distinction in 2019. I was chosen to represent the course at the 'Emergence’ graduate showcase evening.
I have recently completed self-funding my debut album, produced by Chris Hyson (whose recent albums include Jordan Rakei, The Magic Lantern, Snowpoet, Alison Sudol). Singles 1 and 2 from the album have been released this summer 2025, with the full album due to be released in 2026.
Industry feedback for the album has been highly encouraging, with a leading mix engineer Daniel James Goodwin (This is The Kit, Bonnie Light Horseman, and Kevin Murphy) handling the mix & mastering.
The album explores the themes of human connection and climate change. My undergrad degree in Environmental Geoscience informs my longstanding passion for environmentalism, which is a key inspiration in my writing.
I have approached labels including Ninja Tunes, 4ad, and Domino. With positive responses on the songwriting, performance, and production, they encouraged further live profile development before taking on a new artist. This was an encouraging start, and I am now building my release campaign as a DIY self-release.
Live reception to the album has been wonderful. At Shambala Festival 2023, I debuted the material on the Sankofa stage to a captivated audience, sharing the bill with Martha Tilston, Martin Carthy, and Jerron Paxton. Recent performances this summer include Boardmasters Festival, Colchester Arts Centre (supporting Christine Collister), and supporting BBC Folk Award winner Chris Wood in London.
In 2024, I was accepted onto the Help Musicians Co-Pilot scheme, receiving six months of industry mentoring to support the development of my album release campaign.
